consistent, and technically sound accreditation decisions.
The Accreditation Process
The GSAB Accreditation Process follows ISO/IEC 17011 and is structured for fairness and transparency:
- Step 1 Application Submission – CAB submits a complete application and required documentation.
- Step 2 Eligibility Review – GSAB evaluates readiness and technical scope.
- Step 3 Document Review – Assigned assessors review QMS documentation.
- Step 4 On-Site Assessment – Technical and management system evaluation at the CAB’s facility.
- Step 5 Corrective Action & Closure – CAB addresses nonconformities identified during assessment.
- Step 6 Accreditation Decision – Independent Accreditation Decision Committee (ADC) makes impartial decision.
- Step 7 Surveillance & Reassessment – Periodic surveillance ensures continued compliance with accreditation criteria.
